Take the left turn into Windermere off the A591

Follow the one way system.

Once over the predestrian crossing, turn left into Broad Street At the end, turn right into Woodland Road.

Easily accessible by car, train or bus, the lake District is a popular holiday destination for those from both home and abroad. Enjoy the beautiful scenery by car, bus, boat, bike or on foot, but that is only a small part this area has to offer.

Take a car on the ferry to see the lovely villiages scattered on the west side of the lake, Beatrix Potter lived here at Sawrey where she wrote many of her books including Peter Rabbit - today her farms have been left to the National Trust for all to enjoy.

Carry on to Ambleside and Grasmere where the poet William Wordsworth lived and wrote his famous daffodil poem.

Windermere and Bowness - together, the most popular destinantions in the Lake District - two villages which over the years have almost joined. Enjoy a breathtaking view of Lake Windermere, England''s longest lake, from Orrest Head only 20 minutes walk from Windermere village which has many shops, restaurants and pubs catering to every taste and price range.
